About Ippotis

A non-profit sports club teaching and promoting chess in Rhodes since 18 July 2008.

The club

Ippotis Rhodes Chess Club was founded in Rhodes on 18 July 2008. It is a non-profit association, both in its constitution and in the principles behind its creation.

In its early days, the club received substantial support from veteran player and founding member Stamatis Drakoulakis, whose donation helped get the project off the ground.

Other players, friends, sponsors and donors followed. Each has contributed in their own way to keeping the club going.
